Okay ... let me start all over again. This was one SUPER JAS BIKER RALLY!! To all the Vikings MCC peeps ... WELL FUCKING DONE!!

The Friday morning started with layers of thermals under the leathers, coz the weather didn't seem as if it was going to hold. A quick journey from the Southern Suburbs to the Engen 1-Stop took just a few minutes, where we (Supie, Zoe, Warren, Nats and I) hooked up with our 4-wheel travelling peoples. This stop was over before it even started! I guess everyone was excited to get to the rally! I know I was. From the 1-stop to the camp site was interesting ... seemed as if we were just a kilometer behind the rain ... so we didn't get wet. Setup at the usual spot went smooth, with Jules providing transport to offload all the equipment and a klomp dop!! Thanks to Craig (Regulators MCC), we were greeted to some gun-shots from his R6. A couple of new food stalls (like HOT SHITT who had befokte crayfish curry! Imagine ... CRAYFISH curry at a rally!!! We know Roper enjoyed it!!!), a couple of new stands (like the fortune teller ???) and the main tent, where we were greeted to the sounds of Black Magic Disco.

These guys know what they doing! Non-stop music and really awesome sound. Not the easiest job in the world. Well done to the Black Magic Disco crew. You guys rocked!!!

Anyways ... the Rum kept flowing and before I knew it ... I was waking up on Friday night??? I missed the Wet t-shirt, the Miss Sharks ... but apparently didn't miss my glass!

Anyways ... the atmosphere in the main tent was really kwaai. The cold air didn't put a damper on the festivities and the party went on till ... stupid 'o clock! (Once again ... thanks Red Heart Rum). Saturday morning ... some crackling flowed to warm the blood, and thanks to Staci and Darron ... the peeps at the camp site enjoyed some camp-made soup. Serious ...

Jason of course travelled 2000km's ... and arrived again ... this time on 2 wheels to enter the concors. Then ... something strange happened. Those of us that were wandering around got a call from Roper to come to the outdoor games section. Apparently we were entered into the "TUG-o-WAR". Guess what ... with Ashels, Paullie, Supie, Roper and BuBBA and a moerse dik rope ... we won!!! A helluva struggle, but I tempted the opposition that we'll pull them to the bar! Nuff said!!! Nah ... raw power, superheroes and because real bikers wear "ker-plakkies" (Ne Paullie), we won the "TUG-o-WAR" and a tray of ice cold beers.

We partied a bit more, drank a whole lot more and spoke even more kak before the drags started. The drags were once again organised very well, with all competitors having to blaas the pypie. Clearly none of us entered :)
Unfortunately, the drags were cut short due to the accident.

Before prize giving ... our camp site was a jol!!! Everyone was in stiches ... thanks to Bennie Boekwurm, and a couple of others. Mense were talking about Gummi Bears, Liewe Heksie, Knight Rider ... just reminiscing with a lot of kak talk. Even Krate Kid (WOLF) (shortened version of Karate Kid due to simucast issues from the wireless) pitched in with a line or two, without hurting anyone :)

Prize giving was and emotional one ... for a lot of people. "He aint heavy, he's my brother" brought a tear to many an eye. But as all prize givings go ... the jol was only a few minutes away.

Besides winning the "TUG-o-WAR", Jason walked away with the 1st Prize in the custom class ... adding another trophy to the ever growing cabinet. (I guess he was trying to make up for the DN with the CBR who fitted a Suzuki K6 1000 tailpiece on his bike. Si si si). Oh ... and Supie won a Zippo lighter for having the oldest Shark Rally badge of 2000 on his waistcoast. Well done Superman!!!!

We partied hard after the rally virgin won the K8 750 ... and I can't remember much after that ... only that I was dronk when I woke up on Sunday morning, and my pote was kak sore. The camp site was cleared early Sunday morning, where we all parted for home. By the way ... whoever gave the weather report that it was storming in Cape Town, should not ride behind a vehicle cleaning their windows and supply incorrect information. Must be a Honda rider ...

Thanks Vikings MCC for a memorable rally ...
