Yorr ...

It's Swallows time again!!!
From what started out as a rally I'm going to be missing out on, turned into being a rally of all sorts. Supie and I (with our pillions Charmaine and Nats) left Friday after work for Worcester ... IN THE RAIN!!! At one point I wondered if we were on our way to Eagles Rally. It was pissing with rain, but a short lekka ride to the 1-STOP, where we hooked up with Roper and Warren. The 1-STOP again looked like Christmas shopping at Canal Walk :)

Supie, our road captain for the trip decided to go over the pass ... and JAAASIS! ... what a mo-fo ride!!!! Totally JITS!!!

Before we knew it, we were at Nekkies, where it all happens ...

Not long afterwards, the first bottle of (many) RUM was opened, and the paartie began!!!!

Saw all the usual suspects with many Swallows virgins ... (first time rally goers). The crew from Black Magic Disco and the lekka bands started entertaining the crowd of 7867 people (and didn't stop until Sunday, apparrently).

This year, everything operated like a well oiled machine. The Swallows guys too didn't do a bad job of organising a really good rally. The wine flowed continuously, and we (at the campsite) were genuinely entertained by the Namibian from Fairways. (Wonder if he can remember the Namibian anthem now). After Friday nights festivities, Lloyd, Darron and Uncle Buck took the responsibility of arranging breakfast for everyone, including the neighbours. Namaqua Coffee, Crackling and RED WINE (GRAAAAAPPPPPEEESSSS!), were the only items on the menu, which no-one could resist. Drinking and partying was the order for the day, while the concors entrants were busy maaking skoon at the main tent.

Well done to el Presidente Ashels, as well as Bubba, both taking 2nd spot in their respective classes in the concors. (Iian ... next time buddy).

I'm keeping this one short, coz what happens at Swallows, stays at Swallows. A HUGE thanks goes to:
  • Uncle Buck ... for playing nightwatchman again
  • Supie and Bubba for driving us through to set up tents
  • Kim ... for transporting all the booze (and some clothes) to and from the rally
  • Ashels ... for initiating the meeting points to leave for Swallows.
  • Ashels and Graham ... for more entertainment than we expected (Cooler box downhill and WWE, the tent edition)
  • Roper ... for bringing Alan with
  • Jason ... for the SUPER-jas personalized number plates. BLING-BLING!!!
  • Garrett ... for that backpack! That was super-JAS!

  • This was a really good rally, and just put us in the mood for ... TAT TARA RAAAAAAAAAAAA ... SHARKS 2009!!!!
