WHERE WERE YOU!!!! Hello mense ... lekka cold nè!! Almost time to park the boney, and put her to bed to hibernate over winter (or when the sun is shining over winter).

So ... the big rallies and done, and I think we've all recovered ... the feesh & chips were lekka, and this weekend sees one of the biggest storms to hit Cape Town. Ja serious ... 2 cold fronts on top of each other! Disaster management is on full alert!! To read about "Mother City bracing for 'beast' of a storm", click here.

Then ... to the lucky peoples that have made their way to Jo'burg for the SBK (World Superbikes), back at Killarney this weekend ... have loads of fun, but keep it safe. Jason, Natasha and the kids will be our on site reporters for the weekend.

Not much has happened in the biking fraternity (that I'm aware of) over the past week, but that doesn't mean there won't be updates. DON'T BE SILLY!!! To all the peoples that have contributed ... thank you. You make this site worthwhile ...

Before we go further ...

  • 2007 - Chinese year of the Chicken - Bird Flu Pandemic devastates parts of Asia
  • 2008 - Chinese year of the Horse - Equine Influenza decimates Australian racing
  • 2009 - Chinese year of the Pig - Swine Flu Pandemic kills hundreds of pigs around the globe.

Has any one else noticed this???!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It gets worse ...
    next year ...

  • 2010 - Chinese year of the Cock - what could possibly go wrong?
So ... let's get to it.

Social responsibility - feedback

Hurricane Aquatics FUNDRAISER and bike cruise ... FEEDBACK

Hurricane AquaticsTHANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

TO ALL OF YOU THAT SUPPORTED ... A HUUUUUGGGGE thank you!!!! I know it was cold ...

The weather didn't play the part (at first). At one stage, I was the only one on 2 wheels braving the elements, but pretty soon was accompanied by 5 bikers, (Jason and Natasha braved the weather all the way from Kraaifontein. Dankie julle!!!!) and Jakes, Jolene & the kids (representing the CAPE ST OWNERS CLUB). We made our way slowly over Boyes Drive (yorr ... it was WINDY) and quickly into Kalk Bay harbour, where we were greeted by a "medium sized crowd". There we met our fellow bikers (who were clever to come out on 4 wheels) and friends and settled down for some very lekka feeeeesh & chips, and some of us opted for the calamari option, which was also very filling. Lekka "geselig" ... talking 'bout this and that, sipping on a cold one overlooking the harbour and the ocean. No sooner than we were there, the wind disappeared ... and the night was set. All the kids were wandering around, in between the few bikes, looking just as excited as the previous event where there were +/- 40/50 bikes.

SO once again ... on behalf of the HURRICANE AQUATICS kids ... THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOYAL SUPPORT!!! Much appreciated ...

Ladies Garage Day

CAPE ST OWNERS Ladies garage daySaturday, 16 May 2009

Cape ST Owners, in association with Porters Auto Cape Town, is hosting a Ladies Garage Day on Saturday 16 May 2009. It will be held at Porter's in Cape Town.

The intent is to teach our women drivers a few basic things about cars, which might come in handy in an emergency situation. We will cover car basics, as well as have a traffic officer address the audience on dangers on the roads. Please note, this is not to say ALL women drivers are clueless about cars, we know there are some who are just as crazy about cars as the boys! This is for those who would genuinely like to learn a bit more about their vehicles, and have been afraid to ask.

There is no cost involved to you, it is a free initiative. Refreshments will be available on the day, it starts at 12pm till about 2.30pm, dependant on numbers attending. There will also be salespeople available in both new and used car areas, if you are considering getting a new vehicle.

Please pass along to all ladies you feel may benefit from this.

Thanks,
Youven Narainsamy

Two gay men decide to have a baby ...

Two gay men decide to have a baby. They mix their sperm, then have a surrogate mother artificially inseminated. When the baby is born, they rush to the hospital. Two dozen babies are in the ward, 23 of which are crying and screaming. One, over in the corner, is smiling serenely. A nurse comes by, and to the gays' delight, she points out the happy child as theirs. "Isn't it wonderful?" Brad exclaims. "All these unhappy children, and ours is so happy." The nurse says, "He's happy now. But just wait until we take the pacifier out of his ass."

I can't cook or clean, but ...

A young couple, married just a couple weeks, returns from their honeymoon to face the beginning of their new lives. The next morning the husband wakes up, showers, dresses and makes his way to the kitchen where he sees his new wife crying.
So the husband inquires "What's wrong Honey?"
"Well, I came down here this morning to surprise you with a big breakfast but I can't cook or clean."
The husband smiles his biggest smile and says "There, there sweetie! I don't care that you can't cook and clean. Come on up to the bedroom and I'll show you what I'd like for breakfast."
So, off they went to the bedroom.
That afternoon, the husband comes home for lunch to find his new wife crying again in the kitchen. "What's wrong now, Sweetie?"
"Well, the same thing as this morning. I came in here to make you something for lunch and I just can't cook."
Again, the husband smiles and says "Why don't you come back up to the bedroom and I'll have my lunch there!"
So, off they went to the bedroom again.
That evening the new husband comes home, walks in the house and sees his new bride sliding down the banister of the stairs naked. Up she runs, and WHOOSH down the banister.
After the third trip the husband asks "What the heck are you doing honey?"
To which the new bride replies "Warming up your supper!"
